This page explains what ModShield collects on this website, why, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
ModShield operates https://modshield.net. For any question about this notice or about your data, write to hello@modshield.net — a person answers.
WHAT THE WAITLIST FORM COLLECTS
Your email address, which is required. Optionally, the platform you run and what you need protected — both are free to leave blank, and the form works without them.
The language version of the site you submitted from is stored alongside, so we write to you in the right language.
Your IP address is used at the moment of submission to screen the form against our own detection pipeline — we run the product on ourselves. It is not stored with your entry, and is only retained if it independently earns reputation as a source of abuse.
WHY, AND FOR HOW LONG
The single purpose is to contact you about ModShield access, and to prioritise who gets it: knowing that you run a Flarum forum and need signup protection is what decides the order of the queue. There is no newsletter, no marketing sequence, no profiling.
Entries are kept until general availability or until you ask for removal, whichever comes first. Ask by replying to any email from us or by writing to hello@modshield.net, and it is deleted — no reason required, no follow-up questions.
ANALYTICS
We measure how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrived from, using OpenPanel running on our own server rather than a third-party analytics service. This is aggregate product analytics, not advertising: no data is sold, no profile follows you across other sites, and no advertising network is embedded in this page.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal or blocks the script, the site works exactly the same.
WHO ELSE SEES IT
Our hosting provider, because the site runs on their infrastructure. Analytics stay on our own server. Nobody else. Your address is never sold, rented, or shared with an advertiser or a data broker.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its processing. Write to hello@modshield.net. We answer within a month, in practice within a few days, and you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
CUSTOMER CONTENT IS A SEPARATE MATTER
This notice covers the website. When ModShield processes content on behalf of a customer, that customer is the controller and we are the processor, under their agreement with us: identifiers such as emails and usernames are hashed with HMAC-SHA256 before storage, and IP addresses are not stored on individual events.
